Big shout out to South East's favourite son, Kasper Hallam, who scored his first NPL goal for South Hobart Football Club earlier today (the second in a 2-0 win over Hobart Zebras). It was the kind of superb solo effort we have been privileged to witness at Pembroke Park so many times down the years.
Kasper came through the whole youth program at South East before moving to South Hobart this season, and it is with great pride that we see him reaping his deserved rewards among Tasmania's elite.
We just hope that the crude slide tackle which saw him helped from the field with an ankle injury in the latter stages does not rob him of the opportunity to play in the marquee FFA Cup fixture with Marconi Stallions in a couple of weeks time.
All the best Kasper. You are a shining example to all the young footballers at our club, and there is a very big future ahead for you.
