Players young and old came together to enjoy the last weekend before the start of the Southern Championship season with a club day at Pembroke Park.
We kicked off with a friendly between a combination of our U12/13 players and a young Olympia side, before our rather dandy-looking senior players (whose numbers were bolstered our by a few of our youths plus a guest or two) enjoyed an intraclub hit out.
The club's youngest turned out in numbers, clearly relishing their first opportunity to have a proper run for the year. And there were some seriously impressive skills and combinations on show, as this shapes up to be a very exciting year for our talented kids.
We look forward to arranging more of these games for our junior and youth players in the coming weeks before their own season's begin.
The seniors then took the opportunity to break out the new home and away strips as they faced off against each other in what was a partial fun match, but also one of the last opportunities to stake their claims for places in next week's Southern Championships openers.
There were some eye-catching performances and plenty of food for thought for senior coach Glen Roland, as the countdown begins to our season-opener against Metro at North Chigwell next Saturday.
The season just got real - go South East!
